About the Co-op
Our mission
We believe everyone should have access to a safe, working bicycle and the knowledge to keep it running. The co-op lowers the cost of transportation for students and families by sharing tools, parts and skills.
Our history
The co-op started in a borrowed garage with two repair stands and a box of donated tools. Today volunteers run weekly open-shop hours, classes and a refurbishment program that returns donated bikes to the road.
Our values
- Teach, don’t just fix: visitors do the work with guidance.
- Reuse first: salvaged parts are cleaned and reused whenever safe.
- Welcome everyone: no experience needed, and nobody is turned away for lack of funds.
